Why Injections Have Been the Default

Bioavailability — the fraction of the dose that reaches the bloodstream — depends on the specific peptide and how the formulation is engineered. A well-designed sublingual format can offer meaningful absorption without the injection experience.

Considerations When Choosing a Sublingual Product

Not every sublingual product is created equal. Before choosing one, consider:

Manufacturing standards. Look for cGMP-certified manufacturing. This is a fundamental marker of quality control.

Third-party testing. Independent labs should be able to verify the identity, purity, and concentration of what’s in the strip. Reputable manufacturers publish these results.

Formulation quality. The film matrix, dissolution profile, and stability all matter. A poorly formulated strip may not deliver the peptide effectively.

Transparent labeling. Every ingredient should be listed clearly, along with the exact peptide and its dose.

Storage requirements. If a product claims to be room-temperature stable, that should be documented — not assumed.

Sublingual strips don’t replace the need for informed decisions. What they do change is who can consider using peptide supplements in the first place. When the barrier of needles, refrigeration, and preparation is removed, the category becomes accessible to a much wider audience.
